They enable you to build up to a shade that suits you, rather than instantly changing the colour of your skin, however, not all of these lotions work as brilliantly as they claim to! Garnier Skin Naturals Summer Body (£5.10) and the pricey yet brilliant St Tropez Everyday Light/Medium Gradual Tan (£14.30) are pretty much fool-proof and create a beautiful, radiant glow while nourishing even the driest of skins. Here’s how to get the best results:

1.  While bathing, use a gentle scrub such as St Ives Exfoliating Apricot Body Wash (£3.76) to get rid of any dead skin cells and create a smooth surface, ready for the gradual tan. Remember to pay extra attention to dry areas such as your elbows, knees and feet.
2. As moisturiser is a key ingredient in each of these products, there is no need to apply a hydrating lotion prior to tanning and since the colour isn’t instant, you don’t need to use gloves or a foam mitt during application.
3. Simply dispense a small amount of the gradual tanning moisturiser into your hands and massage into the skin, just as you would do with your usual body lotion. It’s a good idea to begin at your feet and work upwards and try to ensure that you coat each section of your body evenly.
4. Wait 10 minutes or so for the product to sink in before getting dressed and there you have it!

Spray-style tanning products can take a little getting used to but it shouldn’t take you long to master the technique and your luxurious looking colour will be well worth it!

1. Begin by massaging a grainy exfoliator such as Burts Bees Cranberry and Pomegranate Sugar Body Scrub (£12.99) into your skin while you’re showering or in the bath in order to slough away any rough patches and ensure that your skin’s in tip-top condition.
2. Next of all, when your skin is completely dry, spritz Fake Bake Mistifier Oil Free Spray (£14.50) on areas that are prone to dryness such as your hands, feet, knees and elbows to protect them from going a dark and un-natural colour.
3. Ensure that your shower is dry and step back in with your tanning spray! Stand with your legs apart and begin spraying liberally onto your chest and arms, working downwards with a lighter application as you get to your lower body as the mist will float and settle on your legs as you go. There’s no need to rub in!
4. Allow the product to dry for 10-15 minutes before dressing.
5. Stick to loose, dark clothing for the next few hours to prevent staining while the tan develops and works its magic… Voila!

1. When you’re using such a deep coloured tanning product, exfoliation is an absolute must. Super smooth skin will pretty much guarantee a streak-free application so begin by massaging The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub (£12.50) into wet skin and again, ensure you give your knees, elbows, hands and feet extra attention as they’re often prone to dryness.
2. After towel drying, replenish the moisture that will have been lost during exfoliation by applying a rich, hydrating body lotion that’s designed for tan preparation. There are some great ones on the market but Xen Tan Scent Secure (£24.99) is by far the best.
3. Wait an hour or two for the cream to really sink into your skin.
4. Using a foam tanning mitt like Famous Daves’ Self Tan Applicator Mitt, dispense a generous amount of the mousse and begin applying it to your ankles and feet in circular motions, working your way upwards. The fact that the product is tinted will enable you to see where you’ve already applied it but make sure that you don’t leave any white patches and don’t forget your face!
5. Use a damp cloth to quickly wipe any excess colour from your elbows, knees, ankles and knuckles.
6. Allow the product to dry (although this shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes) and remember to wear loose, dark clothing while the tan develops… All done!

Poolside Make-Up

Regardless of how awesome your swimwear looks on you, nothing can ruin it faster than caked on make-up. Summertime is all about that girl-next-door look, which includes wearing minimal make-up. Fortunately, there are ways of wearing your make-up poolside without looking overdone. To start, invest in a quality facial moisturizer to keep your skin fresh and glowing. To even out your skin tone, use a tinted moisturizer in place of your foundation. Dust over it with a little pink blush and a golden bronzer. Numerous studies clearly show that eating disorders have increased in frequency over the last fifty years. There is ample evidence that shows that this effect is especially strong among adolescents and people who pursue thinness. The best way to reduce body dissatisfaction and bad eating habits among the young, experts add, is by raising the alarm about obsessive dieting.  Being underweight, aside from disrupting brain and growth development, often leads to brittle bone disease and fertility problems, while eating disorders can lead to alcohol and drugs addiction.

What Are Eating Disorders?

Eating disorders are psychological conditions characterized by excessive or insufficient food intake. In all cases, eating disorders are detrimental to the sufferer’s mental and physical health. At the moment, the exact cause of these issues is not completely understood; however, some results link eating disorders to other medical situations and conditions. For example, one study shows that sufferers of ADHD are more prone to being affected by eating disorders. Most experts, however, believe that “ideal” body-types displayed in the media and peer pressure are the most significant factor behind this factor.
Most people try to regulate eating and do physical exercises in order to stay healthy and fit. However, when bad eating habits begin to dictate how you live your everyday life and how you think – when it starts to become an obsession – chances are solid that you are affected by an eating disorder.

What Are the Types of Eating Disorders?

• Anorexia nervosa – an eating disorder characterized by a false perception of the body and an inexplicable fear of putting on extra weight. Anorexia often causes menstruation to cease and can lead skin integrity problems, bone loss, etc. Additionally, it increases the risks of hearth problems and hearth attacks. A small percentage of anorexia sufferers even starve themselves to death.
• Bulimia nervosa – an eating disorder that causes sufferers to eat small amounts of food frequently and adopt behaviours like excessive exercise, self-provoked vomiting, or increased use of diuretics/laxatives.
• Binge eating disorder – an eating disorder characterized by frequent eating binges without compensatory behaviours. Binge eating disorder is also known as compulsive overeating.
• Purging disorder – a common eating disorder characterized by purging behaviour to influence shape or weight.
• Rumination – a chronic condition characterized by painless food regurgitation and re-chewing which is either discarded or re-swallowed.
• Dia-bulimia – a serious eating disorder that can potentially lead to death. Diabulimia is characterized by deliberate insulin restrictions by sufferers of diabetes in order to control body weight.
• Eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS) – a large group of eating disorders and patterns.  EDNOS sometimes refers to a female anorexia sufferer who still has her period, to a person with anorexic thought behaviours and patterns (despite being at a normal weight) or to someone who engages in anorexic and bulimic behaviours (a condition known as purge-type anorexia). In some cases, EDNOS can also be used to describe a type of eating disorder, or combination of eating disorders, that doesn’t fit into a specific category.
• Pica – an eating disorder characterized by an irresistible urge to eat, chew and lick foods that don’t contain any nutrition, or objects and items that are not food. These include things like cigarette ashes, coffee grounds, ice, rust, glue, baking soda, paper and chalk.
• Night eating syndrome – also known as “midnight hunger”, night eating syndrome is characterized by a lack of appetite in the morning and overeating at night. This eating disorder is also accompanied by insomnia.

This tutorial is about how to transform yourself into Kim Kardashian, the make-up artist has already done her foundation and contoured her skin to get the features of Kim. It is easier to apply the foundation and contour the skin first as this takes a long time and most women are able to do this, in fact if you cannot apply foundation and contour it then this is really going to be quite a difficult make-up tutorial for you to go for. You should wait until we upload our foundation and contouring make-up tutorial, these make up tips are not for everyone but they are still very fun to watch and you WILL learn some new make up tips from watching!

Creating Kim’s Eyes

Now the make-up artist begins with the eye shadow base applying it all over the eyelid and up to the brow bone. She then blends it in, after that she uses a white eye shadow and applies it to the brow bone then using a grey eye shadow she applied it to the corners of her eyes.  She now drags it into the inner corner of the eye then uses a white eyeliner, she puts it on the lids of her eyes then using a smaller brush and the same grey eye shadow she used for the top of the eye, applies it just under her bottom lashes starting from the outer corner then dragging it to the inner corner then she applies a glitter base to the lids of her eyes.  Now gently she dabs some glitter on the lids of her eyes, then taking a thin brush she uses a black eye shadow and applies it to the creases of her eyelids. The make-up artist now takes the same black eye shadow and applies it under the bottom lashes then using the blackest eyeliner she has she puts on her water line. After this she uses a liquid eyeliner and applies it to her top lashes winging it at the corners to give it the cat eye effect then she uses some thick long eyelashes and applies them starting from the inner corner to the end of her lashes. Then after she has put them on she uses a black mascara to blend the lashes together, then takes the liquid eyeliner and makes a little point on the inner of the eye. After the eyes are done she then takes a contour brush and uses a brown eye shadow, sucking in her cheeks she applies it to the bottom of the cheek bone and then blends it in for that natural look. Then using a pink shimmer blush she applies it to the apple of her cheeks.

To create her Kim’s lips she uses a pink lip liner by using it in her lip line going just slightly over her natural lip line to make them look fuller. After she has finished this she uses a rose colour lipstick on her lips and follows with a rose pink lip-gloss and then there you have it, you are now Kim Kardashian! This tutorial is about how to transform yourself into Nicki Minaj, this is the best tutorial ever on the internet showing you how to create a Nicki Minaj look. The make up artist has already done her foundation, contoured her nose and cheeks to make her features start looking more like Nicki’s. She begins the tutorial by applying a base coat to her eyelids to make the eye shadow stay on longer, then she used a shimmering white eye shadow for her brow bone taking it up to the edge of her eyebrow line.

She then used two different shades of bright pink and mixed them together and applied over the eye lids, took it up a little higher to the creases and blended it into the white. Then using an ash brown eye shadow she applied it to the edge of the pink dragging the brush down to the corner of the pink in to the lashes and into a kind of V sharp.  Then using a light pink eye shadow she applied it to the inner corner of her eye blending it in with the other pink eye shadow. Now she used a really black eye liner on her water line using a black liquid liner for the upper lids starting from the inner eye making the line thicker as she got to the end. She then made a sharp point to make the cat eye which Nicki is so popular for by using some fake eye lashes.  The lashes were about half an inch shorter than normal ones and applied them to the edge of her eye so she still had the cat eye look. She then applied mascara to the top lashes, used a light pink blusher and applied it to the bit they call the apple. Then using a darker pink blusher she applied it to the cheek bones sweeping upwards.

For her lips she used a hot pink lip liner and used it all around the lip line taking it just a little over the line on the top. She then filled in all of her lips with the liner, once this was done she put a Barbie pink lipstick on. As conditioners go this was my worst of all my conditioner reviews and same with their shampoo. With Herbal Essence Hair Products being such a big brand you would have thought they would have put some of their money into producing a product that works!

Once again the only thing that I liked about the shampoo was the smell as it did really smell good. But what good is nice smelling shampoo if you are purchasing it because you have split ends and you need to get them fixed up?

The conditioner was left in my hair for the 3 minutes stated and once again I found it very hard to get out of my hair. If you are a girl like me who has fairly long hair the last thing you want is to spend 30 minutes washing out both conditioner and shampoo, a relaxing bath has never been so un-relaxing!

After finally getting it mostly out (it still felt as if there was product left in my hair) I got out of the bath and dried my hair. After the blow drying my hair felt heavy and the next day the top of my hair felt really greasy as if there was still conditioner in it!

Two weeks later after using the Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Shampoo and the Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Conditioner together I did not see any difference and would not recommend this product to anyone!
